This is just another assignment of a "Mini". What we had to do was just explore different hand lettering styles in different formats. Once we did that, we had to create a value scale for when it comes to the different hand lettering styles and then do a drawing of our shoe using hand lettering. This "Mini" was to help us get prepared for our second "Big" which was to use an image of our own and go over a light table and trace over our image with a pencil and then finally do our own hand lettering styles using different words and writing it on our traced image. There isn't a lot of contrast just because the "Minis" are just straight up black and white so there isn't a lot of that. I feel like there's a little bit of value, within my shoe drawing, just because there are some dark values and there are some light values. I do see some rhythm in my artwork in my shoe where one word is constantly going in the same direction each time I've written it. I do like the lines in my artwork from the thick lines to the thin lines in the shoe. Finally, overall, I just like the unity of the artwork all together because I feel like the shoe just looks kind of good from the way I did it, although I do think that I should've spaced out some of the letters so it's not all crowded together.
